How the 100 points divide100 pts total

The foundation of any remote workday. We measure real download and upload speeds, latency, jitter, packet loss, and signal strength at the workspace — not the router.

  • Download & upload
  • Latency, jitter & packet loss
  • Coverage at workspace

Not just somewhere to sit. We assess the desk, the seating, the power setup, and how the space accommodates real work over a long stay.

  • Desk surface
  • Seating quality
  • Power access

Focus is fragile. We require a measured decibel reading at the workspace during daytime hours, and assess the physical separation and privacy available for confidential calls.

  • Measured internal noise
  • Acoustic isolation
  • Call privacy

Because how you show up on screen matters. Background quality and lighting conditions assessed from a submitted workspace video.

  • Background quality
  • Natural or professional lighting

Nothing breaks a workday faster than the power going off. We assess everyday reliability, the presence of backup systems, and year-round climate control.

  • Reliability of power & internet
  • Backup systems
  • Climate control

A standard for serious remote work includes physical and digital safety. We assess the security of the property and its network.

  • Physical security & lockable storage
  • Private password-protected Wi-Fi

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between Curated and Certified stays?

Certified stays are independently verified by the Homadic team for Wi-Fi, workspace, noise, video, reliability and safety. Curated stays meet our standard on paper: we’ve reviewed photos and host-confirmed specs, but haven’t been through the full audit yet. Read the full breakdown →

Why isn’t every stay certified?

Certification is thorough and takes time. Curated stays let us list more great places now without overpromising on what we’ve audited.

Why can’t I book direct through Homadic?

Direct booking is coming. For now we point you to wherever the host already lists so you get the best available price.

What if a certified stay isn’t as advertised?

Tell us - your opinion is gold. Every certified listing carries our independent audit, and we re-audit any property where reality drifts from the published spec. If a place fails the standard, we want to know about it.
